ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Melissa Terrezza Pace is a licensed massage therapist, Ayurvedic counselor, drum maker and multimedia artist. Currently she works as a panchakarma therapist for two healing centers in Asheville, NC. She also works with clients in her private practice offering therapeutic bodywork and holistic treatments.
As a visual artist, her specialty ranges from printmaking on ceramics to large scale painted murals and leading drum making workshops in the southeast.
Through the use of symbols, pattern, and design her work lends itself to intellectual and philosophical ideologies.
During her time living on the west coast, she gravitated towards Ayurvedic studies and continues to combine these ancient wisdoms along with her Native American studies within her art and drum making workshops.
